After returning to Kenya in 2012, Lucy pursued public service and contested elections in 2013, 2017, and 2022. Her work has continued to focus on advocacy, community organisations, and older persons.
After turning sixty, Lucy transformed her approach to health, discipline, ageing, and self-care. Starting at 115 kilograms, she lost approximately 30 kilograms through lifestyle changes including mindful eating, intermittent fasting, walking, dancing, strength training, hydration, and better sleep. She shares this journey as a personal story, not medical advice.
For Lucy, discipline is not about severity. It is about remembering what matters, starting again without shame, taking responsibility, and choosing differently. Through her story, she invites women to rediscover confidence, self-care, and possibility at every stage of life.
It is also knowing how to begin again without insulting yourself. "Shame has never been my best coach; responsibility is better. I can tell myself the truth, accept my choices, and make another one. That is a relationship with myself I can sustain."
Finding Lucy is an invitation to women who have spent years caring, leading, surviving, and postponing themselves: choosing yourself is not selfish.
